he: speared 4 fish. unearthed torquoise. traveled 3 mi by his handmade sail. escaped the bog of eternal stench. traversed untainted dunes. and still....

him telling me that the trip would have been a thousand times more adventurous if i were there, was enough to subdue the green monster rising up in me. the beast is fed for now. i suspect its envious belly will grow hungry again about the same time next year... and it will take a lot more than throwing it a few bones.

A pleasure meeting again, Gloria Jet. You fascinate me, but we could never be friends.

i dream about this library.

and i am currently reading: the heart is a lonely hunter. then to shake the depression off after that doozey of a story, i'll delve into zander's childhood series with Dr. Cooper and his daring kids. after reading the one about the Dragon's Throat, i felt brave and invincible with the name of Jesus tucked under my tongue ready at any moment to strike the foe.

however...a very terrifying and eerie texan thunderstorm belittled my spirit...i'm very sensitive...no? regardless, i'm pushing onward to a fearless future with Jesus. thats that!

Little Drummer Boy and his possee

Zander is an interesting creature. I will never fully understand that boy, nor do I care to on this side of eternity. The spunk and challenges he brings into my life is enough to keep me satiated and on my toes. Quite a charismatic heart.

I'm so happy he has drum lessons in our living room. It brings the most colorful and odd people here.

We recently saw her play her first "gig" at the gay pride festival. Zander was so proud of her. He is still trying to get her to hang a sign "Challenging the Stereotype" Because, apparently, white boy zander has more rythm than black girl denise, and it is a popular belief that black people naturally have "that soul". (fact).
